The Department of Psychology at Purdue University Northwest invites applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment (Assistant/Associate Professor/Professor) to begin August 2025. The successful applicant will serve as a core faculty member in our well-established and highly popular undergraduate psychology program, as well as our new psychology graduate programs. PNW launched both a master’s degree program (clinical and non-clinical tracks) and a clinical psychology doctoral degree (Psy.D.) program during the 2024-2025 academic year and is in the process of pursuing APA accreditation. We’re looking for strong teachers, scholars, and clinicians interested in shaping these cutting-edge training programs from the beginning, with particular emphasis on integrating social justice, advocacy, contemporary best practices, and cultural competence into clinical psychology. Area of scholarship is open, though we are particularly interested in the following specialty areas: neuropsychology, psychological assessment, and applied research methods (e.g., program evaluation, qualitative research).
The position is a full-time appointment and responsibilities include: teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, developing an active program of research/scholarship, research mentoring for undergraduate and graduate students (including supervising Psy.D. dissertation projects), clinical supervision for in-house psychological assessment training clinic, and contributing to service activities in the department, college, and university (including APA accreditation process). The position is open to clinical or counseling psychologists who completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship, graduated from an APA-accredited doctoral program, and are eligible for licensure and endorsement as a Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP) in Indiana or will be eligible within two years.
